PTEX Base Repair Sticks Clear 8mm & 11mm - Ski/Snowboard Gouge Repair

There is nothing worse than a big rock gouge in the base of your board. Repair those deep gouges in the base of your ski or snowboard with our versatile P-tex sticks. These repair sticks are available in clear and black colors and come in two primary sizes. To repair your base, first ensure it is clean of any wax. Use our base cleaner to prep the repair area. Then, using a steel scraper or razor blade, flatten and clear the area around the gouge of any frays of P-tex. Make sure it's a nice smooth surface to bond to. Using a lighter, heat up the P-tex stick until it is on fire like a candle, holding the stick at an angle so the material drips off into the gouge. Fill the gouge completely until it's flush with the base; too much is better than not enough. Let the material cool, then carefully cut any excess material with a sharp razor blade so the base is flush.
